Doctor Niaz Ahmad is a Consultant Surgeon specialising in liver and renal transplant and in general surgery. Dr Ahmad also holds a post of an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds. He is employed by the Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust.
Dr Ahmad also performs circumcisions at Circumcision Clinic London.
Dr Ahmad graduated with an MBBS from Dow Medical College Karachi in 1986. He obtained his training in general surgery (including paediatric surgery) and transplantation in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He obtained the degree of FRCSEd from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1993. He was awarded MD in 2001 by the University of Leeds for his research work. He was awarded an FRCS in General Surgery in 2002 by the Intercollegiate Board of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of UK & Ireland.
Dr Ahmad has obtained comprehensive training in general surgery and transplantation. He has extensive experience in performing kidney and liver transplant and general surgical operations as a consultant. He routinely performs general surgical operations in the NHS and in private hospitals. He also actively participates in collaborative research and teaching of medical students and nurses.
